The Shiba Inu community has requested Coinbase exchange to list Bone Shibaswap (BONE) on its trading platform to enhance the growth of the project.
Shiba Inu-affiliated entity Shib Dream recently went on X to promote BONE, tagging Coinbase. The development came in a bid to get the top cryptocurrency exchange to support BONE trading.
“Wouldn’t it be awesome to have BONE listed on Coinbase?” part of the tweet read. The Friday post also highlighted the amazing growth of the Shibarium gas token and its wide user base.
Shib Dream further emphasized the significant number of Shiba Inu proponents using the leading US-based crypto exchange for crypto trading. Moreover, the tweet outlined how listing BONE on Coinbase would benefit the leading US-based cryptocurrency exchange.
“Having it on Coinbase would just make things easier and more exciting for so many people, and I bet it would bring even more people to your platform,” Shib Dream noted.
In a bid to draw Coinbase’s attention to the unofficial request, Shib Dream called on the SHIB Army to join the conversation and tag the crypto exchange. Considering the positive benefits for the broader Shiba Inu ecosystem, several community members reacted to the post, elaborating on the need for Coinbase to add BONE to its platform.
BONE in the Market
Notably, BONE is the governance token of the Shibaswap decentralized exchange, which allows community members to vote on upcoming proposals. It is the gas token of the Shiba Inu Layer-2 blockchain Shibarium.
Following the renunciation of the BONE contract by the Shiba Inu team last year, proponents have been trying to get the token listed on more top crypto exchanges, including Binance, KuCoin and Coinbase. The aim is to give more exposure to the token thereby, helping to boost its price.
While Coinbase is yet to respond to the community’s listing request, it bears noting that BONE has been listed on over 20 crypto exchanges, including OKX, MEXC, HTX, Crypto.com, Gate.io, HTX, Biconomy etc.
Notably, BONE is trading for $0.622 at press time according to Coingecko, down 3% in the past seven days.
