Shiba Inu’s Shibarium has gained huge popularity, with wallet addresses on the L2 network approaching one million, as the development team updates ShibariumScan.
Following the public relaunch of Shibarium on Monday, the leading Shiba Inu ecosystem project saw an increase in network activities. This soaring adoption has elicited huge elation in the ShibArmy coupled with SHIB’s regained momentum in the crypto market.
Shibarium1 called attention to this positive development on Friday. The anonymous Shiba Inu ecosystem official noted that Shibarium wallet addresses are fast approaching the 1M mark. He added that the project’s explorer has been updated to contain more network stats.
“New Shibarium scanner shibariumscan.io and near 1 million wallets on Shibarium,” he tweeted.
Shibarium Wallets Near 1M
Undoubtedly, the number of wallet addresses connected to the Shiba Inu L2 blockchain is moving toward the one million threshold. This increasing engagement has caused substantial growth in total transactions recorded on Shibarium.
The latest data on Shibariumscan showed wallet addresses connected to the L2 network surpassed 900K as of September 2. Notably, exactly 905,225 total wallet addresses have interacted with Shibarium since its launch on the mainnet at press time.
The Shibarium explorer also showed that total transactions on the network stood at 744,084 at the time of writing. This translated to 414,440 total blocks produced on Shibarium at an impressive average block time of 5 seconds.
Recall that Shibarium boosted about 336,733 wallets on its public relaunch day as reported by Nitadel. This indicates that over 500K new addresses have interacted with the Shiba Inu L2 network within the past 5 days. Notably, less than 100K new addresses are needed for Shibarium total wallets to eclipse the 1M threshold.
Shiba Inu Team Redesigns Shibarium Explorer
It bears mentioning that the Shiba Inu development recently redesigned the designated Shibarium explorer — Shibariumscan — to contain more network stats and improve user experience.
As disclosed by SHIB’s marketing strategist on Friday, the updated version of the explorer gives deeper insights into the Shibarium network compared to the old version.
Notably, deployed and verified contracts on the network can now be monitored by users. Total tokens, accounts, and daily native coin transfers can also be tracked on the updated Shibarium explorer.
Community Members React
Members of the Shiba Inu community speculated that these positive developments would boost the price of SHIB and BONE in the coming weeks or months. While the expected rally remains to be seen, SHIB is exchanging hands at $0.000007913 at press time, down over 2% and 3% in the past 24 hours and 7 days respectively.
